This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what data Synaura processes, where it stays, and the choices you have. Synaura is designed so that, by default, your personal data stays on your iPhone.
When you use Synaura, you may enter:
Where this data lives. All of the above is stored locally on your iPhone (in the app’s sandboxed storage and iCloud-backed app container if iCloud is enabled on your device). Synaura does not operate a central server that stores your profile or journal.
If you grant permission in Synaura → Health & biorhythms → Authorize Apple Health, Synaura reads:
What happens with this data. HealthKit samples are read on-device only. They are used to compute statistical correlations between your body metrics and your biorhythm cycles. Synaura never uploads HealthKit samples or any derived raw values to any server. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Synaura.
By default, Synaura runs its AI coaching features on-device via Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+, when your device supports it). No AI traffic leaves your iPhone in this mode.
If — and only if — you opt in via Settings → AI → Advanced, you can paste your own API key from a third-party provider (currently supported: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI). When cloud fallback is enabled, the app sends curated, coarse-grained context to the provider you chose:
We do not send: exact birth location, exact birth time, raw HealthKit samples, full natal-chart coordinates, or your API key to anyone other than the provider you selected.
Your API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Calls
go directly from your iPhone to the provider endpoint
(e.g. https://api.anthropic.com/v1/messages,
https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions). Synaura does
not proxy these calls.
Your use of a third-party AI provider is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy:
You can disable cloud fallback at any time in Settings → AI → Allow cloud fallback.
Synaura’s Radar feature lets your device discover other Synaura users in proximity. When enabled:
You can disable Radar at any time in Settings → Radar.
Purchases (Pro / Pro+ monthly, yearly, lifetime) are processed entirely by Apple. Synaura does not receive or store your credit card, billing address, or any payment credential. Apple provides us with transaction receipts that let the app unlock the right tier.
Subscription management (cancel, refund, change plan) happens in iOS Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
Synaura does not use third-party analytics,
advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-app/website tracking.
Our App Privacy Manifest (NSPrivacyTracking = false)
reflects this.
Synaura is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at hello@synaura.app and we will delete it.
Because your personal data stays on your iPhone, you control it directly:
If you want us to answer a specific request (EU GDPR Art. 15–22, California CCPA, etc.), email hello@synaura.app with the subject “Privacy request”.
We will update the “Last updated” date above and, when changes are material, surface a notice inside the app.
